A Five Minute Friday Challenge
As I was singing in the choir on Sunday, the Lord met me. I love it when He steps in when we
least expect it. The song was Peace Be Still.
"And no matter where you are, or where you've been. I am sure, He wants you to know...He won't let go. He won't let go, Jesus won't let go, He won't let go. I am sure, He wants you to know, . . .

Take
A Five Minute Friday Challenge
The first thing that came to mind when I saw the word "take" was the words from the old hymn:
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word.
Make friends of God's children, help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.

Question
A Five Minute Friday Challenge
It's interesting that as children, we are not afraid to ask questions. Sometimes to the exasperation of our parents or other adults around us. However, as we grow older and supposedly wiser, more mature, it seems that we are less willing to ask some of those questions.

I looked up the definition of "goal" which means . . .

Well
A Five Minute Friday Challenge
Psalm 119:165 "There is such great peace and well-being that comes to the lovers of Your word, and they will never be offended." (The Passion Translation)
One of my favorite hymns is "It is Well with My Soul". Sometimes, it brings great comfort to my heart. At other times, it is a great reminder that even though . . .

A Delightful Update...
My One Word for 2019
I want to be proactive in remembering how I have felt God "delight" in me or where I have been "delighted" by Him since that's my word for the year. It's also a good time to connect with Emily P. Freeman's quarterly post on "What I learned..." as she (and others) recalls and reflects on what she has learned each quarter...so here I go . . .

Culture
A Five Minute Friday Challenge
Here's a glimpse from my journal this morning as I read Psalms 111-112 and the First 5 app devotional.
Good morning, Daddy! I'm so glad You just want me! I don't HAVE to write or perform. You just want my heart! In a culture that wants us "to do". You just want me "to be". It goes against the grain.
We are to be in the world . . .
