The idea of "goals" has always seemed scary to me. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it's because I'm a perfectionist. I don't like goals if I think I'm not going to achieve them "perfectly". Setting goals can also be hard when you don't know what you want in the future.
I looked up the definition of "goal" which means "the result of achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end."
That doesn't seem quite as scary. We make goals everyday: to get up and go to work, to eat better, to exercise. One of my current goals is to write regularly.
As Christians, our "goal" should be to live more like Christ. I found some Scripture verses (from The Passion Translation) that reveal how we can move towards that goal.
