Wow, I can't believe I've been writing for 1 year today. The picture above is a small collage from some of my personal favorites from the past year.
Thank you to all who have read and encouraged me along the way. I know I have more stories and more insights to share. The Lord isn't finished with me yet. The last month or so has been a journey of further intimacy with Jesus. He has reminded me of prophecies over my life in the past and continues to say "this is a new season", and dormant seeds from the past will now spring forth!
I have learned a lot this past year about writing, blogging, and social media. I was involved in Write 31 Days and also Five Minute Friday. Both communities of writers have been a source of encouragement. I blogged through Lysa Terkerst's book Uninvited (final chapter coming soon) and I shared insights the Lord showed me in life.
What does the next year look like? I'm not sure, but I'm "focusing upward" on Jesus and walking with Him. I will be joining the Write 31 Days group again and I covet your prayers as I begin to write and plan for October. I'm excited to see what the Lord will teach me. I'm also trusting the Lord will keep me disciplined and on-track this year. Last year, I was in-between jobs and had all the time in the world to write, edit, craft, look for pictures, etc. This year? I'm working full-time, so life looks much different.
My topic? Proverbs. I've often heard and have read through Proverbs in a month.I felt like it was time to do that again. So, I will post a link to the entire chapter for you to read along, then I'm trusting the Lord will "highlight" a verse or 2 (or 3) for me to write a short blog or share a song, etc.
I'd love it if you'd join me on my "Proverbial Journey" in October. Would you consider sharing this with your friends via email or social media and ask if they would like to sign up to be on my email list so they don't miss out on a day? I'd be so appreciative!
Thank you for celebrating my 1 year anniversary with me and as a special "bonus" here is a look back at my very first post!
