Come with me as I walk through a few moments from December. Check out the other writers on Jennifer's blog. I've also included November's video of 1 Second Everyday. Enjoy!
Something Loved: Time with family, Christmas traditions - looking at lights, special foods, and new Christmas ornaments.
Here is the new ornament featuring my Mom's cat, Katy; my daughter's cat, Izzie; and our cat, Bello; along with the pictures I used to match the coloring.
Our daughters were home for Christmas. I made my Aunt Verna's glazed pecans and, of course, my mother-in-law's cinnamon rolls. We always say that if I made the rolls more often, they wouldn't be as special! We enjoyed going out for Chinese on Christmas Eve and looking at Christmas lights in our favorite neighborhood! Christmas Day was nice and relaxing as we opened gifts and video chatted with Mom.
.
We were doubly blessed this year, as the girls decided to make the trip to Ohio to see my Mom during their break! They continued the tradition of the selfie by the Dutch Haus carriage.

Something that Went Well: My 2025 reading goal was to read 25 books. I surpassed that goal and actually read and finished 29 and still have 1 "in progress! You can add me as a friend on Goodreads, if you'd like. I also participated in the year long challenge in the graphic below. It was fun trying to find a book that I had on my Kindle to match the prompts.
Check out this Christian Fiction Reading Challenge for 2026. I think it's going to be fun!
Something Learned: If you lose your iPhone, you can create a custom message for the device that says it’s lost and how to contact you. It really works and is not hard to set up! Check it out.

Something Let Go of: Each month, this "Share Four Somethings" seems to be getting harder to write and more of a chore. So, after 5 years (I started back in January 2021), I'm going to let go of this format and maybe try something else. I still feel called to write; to use this space to bless others.
Stay tuned to see what happens. I so appreciate all of you who read my blog, comment, and encourage me to keep going.
May you all have a blessed New Year!
