I can't believe it is the end of January already! 1 month down, 11 to go, but who is counting?
I follow several blogs and one that has recently caught my attention is written by Heather Gerwing. She does a monthly review called Share Four Somethings. I have enjoyed reading hers and a few others that recall "Something Loved, Something Read (or Said), Something Treasured and Something Ahead".
So, even though I missed the link-up (I know it's already February); I decided to take a shot at a look back. If I can keep up with this, I will have 12 nice "time capsules" from 2021.
Something Loved: We celebrated my husband's birthday in January and I thought it was going to be a quiet weekend at home, just the 2 of us. I had even set up a Family Zoom call with our 2 adult daughters to celebrate. Well, much to my (and my husband's) surprise, I came home Friday night to 1 extra car in the driveway, AND 2 lovely young ladies, grinning from ear to ear and ready with hugs! We laughed, played games and loved on each other and, of course, celebrated a birthday!
Something Read: Ready to Rise: Own Your Voice, Gather Your Community, Step into Your Influence by Jo Saxton. It is a power-packed book on leadership and leaning into the person that God has called us to be. I'm only about half-way through and I highly recommend it. "We need the voices and influence of healthy, empowered women to make an impact on our world for the common good."
.
Something Treasured: Time with my husband. We currently work different shifts and our evenings together are short. We had a few days off in January and I treasured our extra time together and we were able to enjoy the great outdoors with a couple of lovely walks.
Something Ahead: I'm looking forward to a new online Bible Study! It just started on February1st, so if you'd like to join, it's not too late. It's called Courageous Simplicity and is put out by the bloggers and the community at InCourage. I could use a little "simplicity" in my life and am looking forward to something new and maybe meeting a few new friends along the way.
So what is something you loved, read (or said), treasured or looking forward to in the future?
