I still can't get over how fast these months fly by! I'm convinced that it's a by-product of aging! Ha ha. Join me (Jennifer and other bloggers) on my recap of April.
Something Loved: No pictures were captured, but we had dinner with dear friends who live in New York. I was reminded of our sweet times of being in the same church and doing life together regularly when our children were very small. We had a lot of catching up to do, since many years and many miles have come between us. The reunion was a precious time of sharing all that God has done and continues to do in our lives.
Something Accomplished: I have listened, read, and journaled my way through the Gospels this month. Annie F. Downs is finishing up a year of podcasts where she reads all 4 Gospels each month in different Bible translations and released let's read the Gospels - A Guided Journal. It has thoughtful questions and enough space to do this a few more times.
Something Improved: My mood. We have had some wonderful weather lately and it has been nice to be able to be outside more at home and at work. This month we went to Beersheba Springs for a church retreat and it was wonderful. The slower pace and time away brought peace and restoration to my soul.
Something Noticed: Look at God's creation we enjoyed during our retreat. It was so nice to take a 2-mile hike together. Church friends that feel like family is the best!
