Praise: "the act of expressing approval or admiration; commendation; laudation; the offering of grateful homage in words or song, an act of worship: a hymn of praise to God; the state of being approved or admired."
Some days praise comes more easily than others. Take last Wednesday for example. I had a good day, but it was a long day and it rained just before I left from work for the commute home. What should usually take about 50 minutes, dragged on for over an hour. I was passing the time away, in my car, listening to a podcast. However, it was not helping my tired, mood and I started to complain. Then just over the horizon, I saw something similar to this...
Not just 1 rainbow, but a double rainbow! It was God's beautiful reminder that even in the mess of traffic (or in the mess of life), He is faithful! He alone is worthy of my praise. I can praise Him when I feel like it and even if I don't! It's an act of faith on my part!
Psalm 56: 4; 11 (The Passion Translation) "...The roaring praises of God fill my heart, and I will always triumph as I trust His promises...With God on my side, I will not be afraid of what comes. My heart overflows with praise to God and for His promises. I will always trust in Him."
Psalm 57: 7 (TPT) "My heart, O God is quiet and confident. Now I can sing with passion Your wonderful praises!"
What will you Praise God for today!
