Another month is almost "in the books" and it's time for Share Four Somethings! I pray you are blessed by my observations of God's goodness and that you'll check out another writer or two through the link.
Something Loved: Last month, my "something ahead" was Spring and it has definitely sprung here in TN! I loved the lovely spring flowers my husband bought me for my birthday.
I also love how the renovations on our house turned out this month. New roof, gutters, siding, and a fresh coat of paint on the trim and new color of shutters. It's so nice to sit on the porch to read and be surrounded by nature and God's beauty!
Something Read: I finished the Bible study (Courageous Simplicity) I started around the beginning of February. It was really good and opened my eyes to see how I can seek Jesus more.
I also read Mother to Son: Letters to a Black Boy on Identity and Hope. It was very eye-opening and I would recommend you check it out. Author, Jasmine L. Holmes, shares her experiences, hopes, and prayers for her young child as he grows and the racism he may encounter.
Something Treasured: Time with friends and family. We had our first Spring (outside and socially distanced) church picnic. It felt so good to sit out in the sun and chat with friends whom I had not truly connected with, in several months!
Once again, our lovely daughters surprised us by coming home for the weekend. It's always fun to just hang out and play a few games and relax!
Something Ahead: Last night I signed up to be on the book launch team of Growing Slow by Jennifer Dukes Lee. She is one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to see how she unpacks "a simpler way of living by unhurrying your heart."
You'll receive early access to the first 6 chapters, some cool bonus gifts and access to a private Facebook group. It will be fun!

Easter! We are days away from the most pivotal celebration in the Christian calendar year. I am so thankful for Jesus' death and resurrection so that all who come to Him may have eternal life!
"What a God we have! And how fortunate we are to have him, this Father of our Master Jesus! Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we’ve been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven—and the future starts now! God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you’ll have it all—life healed and whole." I Peter 1:3-5 (The Message)
Here is an old favorite of mine, written by Annie Herring from the group, The 2nd Chapter of Acts.
May you have a joyous Easter and a lovely April!
