1. What was the last thing you celebrated? Father's Day for my husband at my daughter's house, with take out at his favorite restaurant in her town. She had just had ankle surgery a few days before. It was good to be together, as always.
2. July 29th is International Day of the Tiger. Besides the wild animal itself, when you hear the word tiger what's the first person-place-thing-whatever that comes to mind? I think of taking our girls to the zoo when they were younger. We all loved to go and look around. Also, Katy Perry's song "Roar" which I was first introduced to in a Zumba class that I was taking with my youngest daughter. I was also in a choir of co-workers, and we sang it, too.
3. The expression 'eye of the tiger' describes someone with intense focus, determination, and the drive to succeed. What area of your life are you currently bringing that kind of energy to? I'm not sure, as I approach retirement (still a few years away), those words of intense focus and drive even apply to my mindset anymore. I feel much more settled in my spirit and want to honor God in all that I do. I'm not looking to "climb the ladder" with determination. I'm determined to follow Jesus the rest of my days, both in my work and in whatever He calls me to, the remainder of my life!
4. What was the last meal you cooked? My Mom's oregano chicken. She said it came from my hometown's newspaper, when they used to do cooking contests.

5. Describe your July using exactly five words. Hot, reading, training others, overtime
6. Insert your own random thought here. Purple thistles found on our walk recently.
