Hello, friends! I saw the email from Kate Motaung's "Five Minute Friday," which she hosts on her blog and on Facebook. I knew with work I was not going to be able to write on Friday. So, I started this on Saturday and even though it is now Monday...I still wanted to share with you!
Friday's prompt was "enjoy".
Enjoy - there are so many things to enjoy...nature, food, relationships, time with Jesus and those I love. I think God created these so we could enjoy and find meaning in life.
I enjoy cooking and baking, taking walks in the park and exploring new places. I enjoy reading because it takes me to far away times or places in my mind.
I enjoy when my daughters are home and we are all under 1 roof again. I love listening to them laugh, playing cards together and catching up on what is happening in their lives.
I enjoy spending time with others and hearing how God is working and what they are learning about God in this season of life!
Yes, this life can be harsh, but God gives us many things to enjoy. It makes this life worthwhile and fun as we minister to others along our journey.
When I hear the word "enjoy" I also see it in my mind's eye as "in-joy". I need that reminder to do all things with a joyful attitude, even during the difficult times that I may not understand.
John 10:9, 10 (NLT): "Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life."
I love that! God wants to give us a rich and satisfying life, a life we can enjoy!
Please share below what you enjoy seeing or doing!
