Wow, with the temperatures in the high 90's and the heat index (feels like temp.) over 100 degrees, it's been a long week. Here we are approaching the end of August already, so I'll get right to my "Share Four Somethings" along with Jennifer and the other bloggers.
Something Loved: I love when I see co-workers succeed. This week I was happy to see that a co-worker wanted to do something new and he asked another co-worker for help! It's so satisfying seeing the team lean on each other to learn and grow and help patients, together.
Something Read: I've shared a book of this series before, but I'm still enjoying the adventures of Dorothy and her friends in Partonville, in "Dearest Dorothy, If Not Now, When?!" This is the final installment of the fun trip to small-town America, where things seem simpler. It's been a welcome respite during busy weeks at work. I will miss my fictional friends. I'm always open to suggestions on what to read next!
Something Learned: I keep trying to come up with something and I'm not sure I learned anything new. However, I am back to crocheting again, after a week or 2 break, so I will be learning how to finish the sleeves on my cardigan. No pictures, this month...maybe I can show the completed project in September!
Something Eaten: This was a yummy chicken pita and pasta salad that I enjoyed at a new-to-us restaurant, J&G Pizza and Steakhouse, in Manchester, TN. It is a "halfway meeting spot" to see our daughters and is definitely worth a repeat visit. (It also reminds us of our favorite Italian restaurant in my hometown...an added bonus!)
I would love to hear what sparked your interest in August...what did you love, read, learn or eat?
