Read: Proverbs 5
Verses: 1,2 (NLT)
"My son (daughter), pay attention to my wisdom; listen carefully to my wise counsel. Then you will show discernment, and your lips will express what you’ve learned."
As I was reading through this Proverb of strong warnings, I kept coming back to the 2nd verse. "...and your lips will express what you've learned." It starts out with "pay attention" and warns of staying faithful to your wife. I'm also reading it as don't get mixed up in any relationship that you shouldn't be in, including friendships.
But back to "your lips will express what you've learned". It made me think of the chorus to Ever Be...."Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips, Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips."
(chorus starts at 1:20)
The more I read His word and apply His wisdom, He promises to give me discernment and then I will speak what I've learned. That, my friends, is praise and music to His ears! Oh that my heart would be so full of Him, that His praise would just spill out of me!
Today I praise Him that He always wants to spend time with me and that He is faithful!
What will you praise Him for today?
