Read: Proverbs 29

Verse:  5 (NLT)

 "To flatter friends is to lay a trap for their feet."

I think this verse is calling us to be real with our friends. Don’t sugar coat the truth but be willing, to be honest. At times it just feels easier to stay on the surface and not get involved with others.  If we flatter and don't tell the whole truth, it could hurt them in the long run. I don't want to get in the way of what God is doing and sometimes He may want to use me to enhance their growth.  God wants us to go the extra mile and be intentional in our relationships.
