The prompt for this week is TOMORROW. In a world that has been turned upside-down, I find hope in tomorrow. I also find an uneasiness, because we don't know what tomorrow will bring. Every day brings change, more bad news. However, I know the answer, I know who holds tomorrow! JESUS!!
That is who I am focusing on. Jesus is Life, Protector, Healer, and my constant Companion! I'm not doing this perfectly, but this is what I keep reminding myself of. Also, I am choosing to believe who I am in Christ - His prized possession, a warrior and the apple of His eye.
The Lord keeps me reminding me of the words from the chorus of Because He Lives by Bill Gaither.
"Because He lives I can face tomorrow
Because He lives all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives."
"Perfect, absolute peace surrounds those whose imaginations are consumed with You; they confidently trust in you." Isaiah 26:3 (The Passion Translation)
This post was prompted by Kate Motaung's "Five Minute Friday," which she hosts on the Five Minute Friday website. Kate posts a single word each week and each blogger sets a timer for 5 minutes to write and then posts, with little editing. (Some weeks I have more trouble with that part than others.) Check out the other writers on this topic!
