I am almost too late for last week's Five Minute Friday, but I couldn't let this go...so here I GO!
//Somedays, being tired is more a state of mind, than a physical condition. Busyness (mostly of my own doing) and getting up early 4 days a week for work, are also culprits. However, I found out this past weekend, that Isaiah 40:29-31 is absolute truth!
"He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." (NLT)
I led a team of 17 gifted, Spirit-filled, faith-filled people in a Life in the Spirit Seminar in Liberty Center, OH. I left with a feeling of being "well-spent". A little tired physically, but pumped and charged with the awe of Jesus flowing through my mind, heart, and body! He did so many amazing things - prophetic words flowed, people were delivered, and several asked Jesus to fill them with His Holy Spirit! I even broke out of my "type A, like to be in control self" and allowed Him to re-arrange the schedule and my talks for the afternoon and evening! It was a bit scary, but oh so freeing to walk hand in hand with Jesus and to partner with Him!
This morning as I was reading my Lenten study this verse had a "heavenly-highlighter" turned on for me!
"All the people you live among will see the Lord’s work, for what I am doing with you is awe-inspiring." Exodus 34:10 (CSB)
We lived among people this past weekend and we all saw what He was doing with all of us! I want my life to shine for Him because He is doing awe-inspiring things! No matter how I feel, energized or tired, I KNOW that through Him I am renewed daily and He will raise me up to soar!\\
This post is part of Kate Motaung's "Five Minute Friday," which she hosts on the Five Minute Friday website. Kate posts a single word each week and each blogger sets a timer for 5 minutes to write and then posts, with very little editing. Check out the other writers this week!
