"Taste and see that the Lord is good..." Psalm 34:8 (NIV)

I love food, but sometimes I'm in a hurry, especially on my 30-minute lunch break. I'm not sure I always truly taste my food and experience it. Jesus invites us to taste and see. What is it about taste that opens our eyes? The more senses that are involved may be part of it.

Spiritually, when I taste, ingest, devour, God's Word, I'm forced (in a good way) to really see and meditate on His Word to me, personally. I slow down, ask questions and wait on God for answers.

A friend recently said she wanted to read for transformation, not just information. Lord, I want that for myself as well. May Your Word, Jesus, transform my heart and mind as I meditate and see You at work.  Amen.
