Join me and the other writers on Jennifer's blog as we Share Four Somethings from September.
Something Loved: Time away. We had the opportunity to travel back to Erie, PA where we first began our ministry of music as a married couple. The hard thing was that the church was closing on September 28th; the building will be purchased by another congregation. It was wonderful seeing friends, driving around town, seeing the first 3 places we lived, and walking 4 miles at Presque Isle State Park. It was also bittersweet as we ministered with our former pastor, Mick McGinnis, and recalled many good memories from our 10 years there. Praying for the faithful members who remained to the end.
Something Learned: I have enjoyed seeing Lisa's use of the 1 Second Everyday app on her blog, and I finally decided to try it. Not only did I relearn how to use the app, but I also figured out how to add it to my YouTube channel. I'll see if I can do it for another month and maybe even figure out how to embed the video to this blog next month!
Something that Went Well: After our few days in Erie, we spent the rest of the week with Mom. We hung blinds and washed curtains, saw a show in Amish Country, and enjoyed Annie at the Salem Community Theater! It was a wonderful week of fun, work, and relaxation. I didn't take many pictures, but of course, we had to get our traditional pose outside of Das Dutch Haus after breakfast.

Something I let go of: My part-time job as organist. After 36 years of music ministry as a married couple, we have felt God's leading to step away. September 14th was our last service at Matthews Memorial UMC. On September 21st we finished where we started at Trinity Global Methodist Church (formerly Trinity UMC). We are looking forward to some rest as the Lord leads us forward..
