Join me as I recount a few things from May, along with Jennifer and our other writer friends.
Something Loved: My husband, Jonathan, and celebrating 36 years of marriage! It seems hard to believe, and yet it seems to have gone by quickly, as we look back. I'm so grateful for the life we have built with God! We spent the week visiting Mom in Ohio.
Something Learned: Sometimes, to move forward, you need to start over and try something different. I've shared several times that when we've been home in Salem, we've gone to DeRienzo's. Well, it was bought by a young chef, Annie Gano, who has completely remodeled the restaurant and the menu. We had the joy of dining there with Mom. The service, food, and interior design are wonderful! We are looking forward to going back.

Something That Went Well: Meeting our new grand-cat, Izzie. Bethany has rescued a 2-year-old cat, named Izzie; she's adorable and cuddly! We met Izzie when we got together with our daughters for Mother's Day Saturday. We also had a nice lunch at Buck and Board (fancy charcuteries for appetizers/lunch and a new-to-us ice cream shop, Southern Sugar Saloon.
Something Let Go of: Papers in several file folders from companies that we no longer do business with. Also, cleaned out several email files! It always feels good to do a little cleaning, whether physical or virtual.
