Well, six months of 2025 have now passed. Join me as I take a quick trip down memory lane, along with Jennifer and some other writers.
Something Loved: We had a few days of cat-sitting our grandcat, Izzie, at the end of the month. It was fun to have her around. By the end of her stay, we had a few fun times of play, as she felt more comfortable around us.
Something Learned: If you have a cute cat around long enough, you may decide you want one for yourself. So, after we took Izzie back to her house, we went to visit the animal shelter from which she came. After a brief visit, we found a kitty that seemed like a good fit for us. We took the application home, bought the cat supplies, and returned the next day to adopt one-year-old Bello. She is still a bit frightened by her new surroundings and feels safest underneath the bed.

Something That Went Well: I finally took the time to go through the car wash and clean and vacuum out my car! It always feels so good to do that.
Something Let Go of: This topic was hard to think of anything that fits, so instead, I'm sharing what I read in June. I read Dirt by Mary Marantz, Loyally Luke by Pepper Basham, and Sisterchicks Do the Hula by Robin Gunn. 1 non-fiction and 2 fiction, not bad! I've read 17 out of my yearly goal of 25!
