Something Loved: Time spent with family. We had missed seeing our lovely daughters the past 2 months, but we remedied that with a quick trip to Manchester, TN. We had a delicious dinner at J & G Pizza and Steakhouse. It was good medicine to see each other and catch up. Afterwards, being spontaneous, Jonathan and I took a lovely Saturday afternoon drive to Normandy Dam and Lake. It was deeply refreshing for our souls!

Something Learned and That Went Well: My first official week in Community Bible Study. We had a great group of 14 ladies on Zoom last week, and I really like the format. There are 5 days of reading and answering questions, as well as a several-page commentary to read and reflect on the week. We also memorized Psalm 91:2 this week, "I will say to the Lord, my refuge and fortress, my God, in whom I trust." (ESV)
I learned that the Book of Psalms has 5 divisions that correspond with the first 5 books of the Bible, the Pentateuch:
- Psalm 1-41 (Genesis) Psalms of man and creation
- Psalm 42-72 (Exodus) Psalms of suffering and redemption
- Psalm 73-89 (Leviticus) Psalms of worship and God's house
- Psalm 90-106 (Numbers) Psalms of our pilgrimage on earth
- Psalm 107-150 (Deuteronomy) Psalms of praise and the Word
I had never seen this information before, but it's super cool and helpful.
Something I let go of was an old office chair that was too big for me, with faux leather that was flaking off. I bought and assembled a new office chair, and I'm thrilled with it! It supports my back and fits me "just right", kind of like Goldilocks, I suppose. Now, maybe I need a new desk...to be continued.
