Wow, here we are not only at the end of the month but at the end of another year! Heather posted the Share Four Somethings post a week early, because of Christmas, and I'm a week late, for the same reason! I hope you have enjoyed my monthly posts on Share Four Somethings in 2021. Currently, I'm planning on doing this again in 2022, but the 4 Somethings will change a bit. Check out Heather's blog here for details! We would love to have you join us in writing as well!
Something Loved: Even though I didn't send any Christmas cards this year, I have loved receiving them from family and friends. Some even had newsy notes or year-end letters to update us on their past year. Very fun!
"Choose" was my 2021 "one word" for the year and as I reflect I did a lot of choosing - to stay the course that God provided, to trust in Him, and to be grateful in all circumstances. I'm looking forward to seeing what word the Lord will reveal to me in 2022!
Something Read: I really enjoyed reading Melanie Shankle's e-book for Advent entitled Waiting on Wonder. She writes from the heart and has some great real-life stories that accent the Scripture for each day during Advent. It's only $10 and looks like it is still available. So go ahead and download it now for next year!
Something Treasured: Our daughters were sneaky, "stole" a box out of our closet in October and we never realized it! What was in the box you ask? A lot of old VHS and cassette tapes. They invested in the equipment and digitized all of them and put them on a thumb drive for our Christmas present. It took hours to do this and was truly a labor of love for the priceless gift of seeing home movies from 25+ years ago. They even digitized my college senior recital (audio) and it turned out great. Awesome memories!
Something Ahead: Finishing my blanket (Pictured below is 10 months of strips. I have 2 more to finish and the border. It may take me unti February, but that's fine since I started in March.)
I'm also looking ahead to the new year with possibilities and new ways to follow Jesus! Happy New Year to you and thank you for reading my blog! I'm grateful for each and every one of you and pray this Scripture over you:
"Because of this, since I first heard about your strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and your tender love toward all his devoted ones, my heart is always full and overflowing with thanks to God for you as I constantly remember you in my prayers. I pray that the Father of glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation[b] to know him through your deepening intimacy with him.
I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling—that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!
I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you!" Ephesians 5:15-19 TPT
