1. Are you feeling more reset, restart, or full speed ahead as we move into May? Tell us why. As the new month begins, I see it as a reset. I love opening the 2-page spread in my physical calendar, putting in appointments, a fun night of Jazz we hope to attend, and family birthdays. When my girls were still at home, May was always "full speed ahead" to the end of the school year. I'm grateful for the reset and refresh for my brain.
3. What time is dinner at your house? How do you feel about leftovers? Dinner is around 5:30pm most nights, once I get home from work and can get it ready. Yes, I like leftovers and am thankful that my husband does too! I usually put a serving or 2 for each of us in the freezer which feels magical after a long commute home to heat dinner quickly, and voila, it's done!
4. What's the last thing you fell down a rabbit hole investigating? I keep racking my brain on this one, not sure if it was investigating or not, but I thought I recognized someone "famous" and it took some time and a few internet searches on different sites to recall her name.
5. And now for a question from the book Marilyn (Memphis Bridges) gave me...
At what are you 'self-taught?' I guess it would be crocheting. Mom and Grandma showed me some basic crochet stitches, but I've learned how to do others by watching YouTube, so I think that qualifies.
6. Insert your own random thought here. Pastor James Savage, Dickson Campus Pastor at Crosspoint Church, shared a great message on Sunday from Acts 1:4-11. He shared that Jesus trusted the disciples to take the Gospel to the world. He asked them to go back to Jerusalem, a hostile place for them to be, and to wait for Holy Spirit. In that same way, Jesus trusts me. He has put me at this point in history, with my family, friends, and co-workers, for a specific reason. That blew my mind. I have heard many sermons about us trusting in Jesus, but to switch to Jesus trusting me and entrusting things to me is something I have continued to ponder this week.
