Wow, another month has come to an end and another one begins. May was filled to the brim, so let's get started!
Something Loved: Jonathan and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary and we decided to take a trip, as we have done for the past 2 years. We spent a few days in Savannah and Tybee Island, GA. Several friends who have been there, have said how lovely that area is and they were right! We had so much fun sightseeing, enjoying the sound of the ocean waves, and just being together.
I also loved that our daughters were home for the holiday weekend. We went to the Symphony for the first time in over 2 years to see Leslie Odom Jr. It was a wonderful concert!
May found us at the wedding of a dear friend of ours and celebrating Mother's Day a few weeks late. The girls treated me to a manicure and pedicure and a coffee date afterward. What a relaxing afternoon we had together to catch up!
Whew, what a fun month!
Something Gleaned: This verse resonated with me as I was reading this week: "For out of Him, the sustainer of everything, came everything, and now everything finds fulfillment in Him. May all praise and honor be given to Him forever! Amen!" Romans 11:36 (The Passion Translation)
Something Braved (or Saved): While we were at Tybee Island, I braved walking up about 7 flights of a spiral staircase...178 steps up to be exact! I'm not afraid of heights, and even though I walk a lot at work, I felt woefully out of shape, but I made it! The view was beautiful from the top!
. .
Something Achieved: It is finally finished! The year-long calendar blanket turned into a 14-month project, but I'm so pleased with how it turned out! It's lovely and I napped with it covering my chilly feet on my day off on Monday!
