Wow, another month is all but completed. I think the older I get the time speeds up. Maybe not in the moment, but when I look back.
Writing today is enabling me to cover 2 link-ups! Both at Five Minute Friday and Share Four Somethings! I pray you are blessed by my observations of God's goodness and that you'll check out another writer or two through those links.
Something Loved: Sometimes it's the little things that enable me to enjoy my morning a little more. I had been using some "less than stellar" heavy whipping cream. As in, less than heavy, too thin. The last few weeks I have loved my little milk frother...just what I needed to whip some "heavy" into that cream. It creates a nice foam on the top of my hot coffee that would make a real barista proud.
Something Read: I finished 2 books this month! The Dutch House by Anne Patchett. An interesting read where the home was the main character during the life span of a highly dysfunctional family. There was great development of the storyline and main characters. I enjoyed reading this book by a local author who co-owns an independent bookstore. I need to go check that out, too!
The other book, That Sounds Fun, is by my favorite podcaster and New York Times bestselling author, Annie F. Downs. I actually listened to the audiobook. It was a fun listen and deeper in some parts than I expected.
Something Treasured: A week of ice and bad roads, turned into a single snow-day for me, by my choice. I had made it to work 3 out of 4 days (2 of those thanks to my husband driving) and I decided it was ok to call out 1 day and take a break. That was a good decision for me so I didn't have to drive in the 4 inches of newly fallen snow. It also enabled me to catch up on some reading and rest. God quieted my mind and heart.
Something Ahead: After that week of icy roads, I am totally ready for Spring! We had a small taste of warmer temperatures which enabled a few walks outside during breaks at work! That was good for my body and soul!
