Another month has flown by and I'm sitting down to write Share Four Somethings; another brief glimpse into my ordinary, everyday life in TN. Last month I was looking ahead to co-leading a new Bible study (Growing Slow by Jennifer Dukes Lee). It was a great morning of fellowship, looking into the Scriptures, and being vulnerable with each other, even over Zoom!
May this month's offering inspire you to slow down and ponder what you have loved, read, treasured, are looking forward to, and feel free to share those in the comments below!
Something Loved: A "new to us" restaurant and time with family. Our daughters were spending the weekend together and wanted to meet up with us. So they found Culture and Co. on TikTok (of all places) and we decided to check it out. As my husband said in a post, "Not sure I’m quite cultured enough for this… but it was delicious." Domed plates rode around the conveyor belt awaiting our watchful eye for "the one" that sounded good enough to eat (from the menu description). Unique experience + family = a lovely Saturday afternoon. (Photo credit for pictures above: Jonathan C. Dow)
Something Read: I sometimes (ok maybe frequently) have a habit of starting books before I've finished one. So currently I have 4 books started, 1 devotional I'm working through, and the Bible study! My current favorite is another Karen Kingsbury novel, Even Now. I love how she crafts the story and pulls you in from the very beginning. What are you reading this month?
Something Treasured: Some months this category is hard for me. We have started watching The Chosen after many friends have posted on social how wonderful it is. I treasure the show itself, although, it is good. It has helped me to Jesus in a new light. In several of the episodes, Jesus is joking around and having fun. I have not seen or felt that much before in my relationship with Him, but I treasure the thought and will be looking for that as I spend time with Him.
Something Ahead: An updated prescription from the eye doctor means new glasses coming soon! Can't wait! I'll show you pics next month.
